NAN reports that President Muhammadu Buhari gave a directive to NSC to distribute some seized items including rice to IDPs in the troubled northeast to ameliorate their sufferings.

Attah explained that apart from rice, other seized perishable items were also distributed to the IDPs.

According to him, already, the list of IDPs and orphanages across the country is being compiled with a view to kick-starting the nation-wide distribution as soon as possible.

He said that by the time NCS commenced the distribution, it would provide relief and succour to fellow Nigerians who were going through tough times in the IDP camps and orphanages.

Knowing the names and their specifics, the man will be able to correctly make up the general image, selecting the wardrobe items according to style.

Types of male trousers

Now young guys know for sure how to choose pants from the proposed models and styles to look perfect and fashionable. Men's wardrobe is now rich in a variety of styles and differs significantly from the standard set of the last century. Today even customary classical trousers are presented in several varieties.

Every modern man is simply obliged to try on several popular models of trousers in his own image - classic, khaki, chinos, cargo, slacks, denim and corduroy pants. All these types of trousers are made of different materials and different styles, emphasizing the advantages of a male body.

Classic trousers for men

This style of pants is designed for various special occasions and business working style. They are made of monophonic laconic fabrics with a small addition of synthetics, so that the pants keep their shape and do not hesitate while wearing. Classic models often offer protection from the front. They look well at men of dense build, visually making them slimmer. Trousers can also have arrows in the front, but this style is typical for men of solid age.

Mens cargo trousers

If we consider all types of mens pants, cargo is the most comfortable and simple option. Their wide cut contributes to the fact that a man feels free and comfortable in these pants. On the sides, manufacturers attach wide pockets in the knees, which make the pants more practical while wearing. Pants are made of dark fabrics, and combined with knitted sweaters and jumpers, sportswear and shoes, and put on for meetings with friends and during active pastime.

Chino trousers

Another model of comfortable and practical trousers for men of all ages is chinos. Trousers assume direct cut, are made of natural fabrics, more often cotton, but with the addition of synthetics. Most often, such a model of pants is offered in two colors - brown and beige. And for young people there are bright options in the style of grunge or casual. Chinos can be combined with both classic clothing and raglans and sweaters. Stylists advise men to try on chinos of any configuration, as they emphasize only the best sides of the figure.

Male slacks

Slacks are ideally suited for our country, made from cotton fabric of concise light shades. The model assumes a free and straight cut, worn under summer sandals or classic style shoes. It is contraindicated to wear such pants along with raglans, bright T-shirts or sports shoes.

Velveteen male pants

Velveteen pants are a great idea for men of all ages, especially for adults. They are made mainly of dark dense fabrics, therefore it is better to wear them in a cool season. Visually, they are similar to classic trousers, so it is better to wear them with jackets and shirts. Velveteen fabric is very practical and retains its novelty for a long time.

Khaki and camouflage

Pant models can be with or without tucks, in the hips they can be tight, and below - free, as a straight cut is provided. A belt is a must-have accessory, such pants can be combined with sports and classic clothing. The only contraindication is shoes with a narrowed elongated toe.

This type of trousers combines a classic and sporty style, that is, sweatpants, but with a skinny, tight-fitting silhouette.

They use bright fabrics with patterns or spotted colors, which are similar to the stylized camouflage. Joggers are exclusively youth pants that can be worn for walking with friends, on nature and a picnic.

Gallifera for men

If a man is interested in varieties of comfortable trousers, it is worth trying this model. Pants assume a free cut in the hips, after which they gradually taper to the ankles. It is a summer version of trousers with good airing. Ideal for men aged about 30 years, but for older people they are contraindicated by stylists.

Flare style

Since the days of retro entered the modern fashion, flared pants, which are distinguished by their elegance and versatility, have not lost their relevance. With the help of their special style, a man can hide the fullness and excess volume in the hips, his pants visually make a man taller and slimmer. It is better to wear them with shirts and elongated pullovers, shoes can be classic with a narrowed toe.

Narrowed trousers

This style of pants was at the peak of popularity in the United States in the 90s of the last century. Today, the narrower models of trousers are advised to the men of slim stature and medium height. And you can combine them with a classic or urban casual style.

'Bullies' style

Pants of this style suggest several features - the classic free style, the presence of oblique, spacious pockets on the sides. They are made, as a rule, from viscose, cotton fabric or jeans. Most often, these pants are made for the football players and for other athletes. Pants are comfortable to wear, and therefore suitable for active and mobile men.

Trousers with stripes

Best trousers

Source: UGC

Such trousers have gaps of fabric of a different color along the side. Most often, pants are made of dark fabrics, and stripes of contrasting colors - white or red. These pants belong to the sporty style, they can be free, straight or tight-fitting cut. Combine pants with stripes only with a sporty style in clothes.

How to pick up a man's pants

To understand how to choose pants, a man needs to decide on the style of such a piece of clothing, as well as what trousers will be combined with in the future. In addition, you need to be able to correctly calculate your own size; for this, three parameters are calculated - leg length, waist volume and hip volume. Further, the obtained figures are compared with the dimensional grid, comparing the table with the country of the manufacturer, since each state has its own measurement methods.

Another important criterion for choosing a man’s trousers is considered to be the man’s figure and body build, which is oriented in the styles of his pants. Pants tucks are suitable for obese men, a wide-cut pants with a low fit so that they do not tight a full belly. Slim men should choose fitting styles, pants with side pockets, wide ‘oxfords’ or skinny jeans, as well as tight pants with cuffs.

As mentioned earlier, modern types of men's trousers and their classification suggest more than a dozen models and styles for men of different builds and styles in the image. Pants can be classic or sporty, skinny, straight or flared, thin or made of thick fabrics for different seasons of the year. It is important that the style and design of this item of clothing completely coincides with the character of the man and his overall style.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s claim that the system is slow which has made the fight against corruption difficult.

Atiku said:: “But my point of departure from the President is in blaming his failure on the system. I disagree. The system has challenges, yes, but where there is political will, the system can make progress.

“I was Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 and we used that same system to speedily convict no less a personality than an Inspector General of Police, and several others including cabinet ministers and other high officials.

“Mr President, the problem with your anti-corruption war is not the system. You are the problem! “The system allows you to arrest, try and convict your former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, who was fingered in a major corruption case, but you chose to let him go Scot free and you demonstrated your tolerance for his corruption by giving him a prominent role in your re-election campaign and recently welcoming him to the Presidential Villa with open arms.

“The system allowed you to arrest, try and convict Abdulrasheed Maina, the biggest ever alleged thief in our civil service history, who is suspected of looting the pensions of millions of aged Nigerians. Yet you chose not to go that route, preferring instead to recall him, reinstate and double promote him while giving him armed guards to move about.

“The system allows you to probe the $25 billion NNPC contracts awarded without due process, but you chose to bury the matter under the carpet, hoping the Nigerian people will forget about that grand scale alleged looting exposed by a leaked memo from a member of your cabinet.

Atiku cited the Ikoyi fund saying the president has yet to reveal owners of the fund.

“Based on the above statement of facts, I will not allow you to make Nigeria the scapegoat for your failure. Your failure is personal, and not national.

“If you could go abroad to insult Nigerian youths as lazy, why did you go to Paris to praise a governor who was caught red-handed receiving bribes on camera?

“The system did not stop the EFCC from charging the opposition Governor of Akwa-Ibom, Mr Udom Emmanuel, as a co-accused in the case involving the NBA Chairman, Mr Paul Usoro (SAN). Contrast this with the treatment meted out to Governor Umar Ganduje of the ruling All Progressive Congress.

“Besides, your excuse is deceptive, because you have staunchly resisted restructuring. If you really believed that the system is the problem, you would have embraced restructuring.

“Unfortunate as your admitted failure in the war on corruption is, it is your economic policy that is the greater failure. Your lack of ideas and your politicisation of the corruption war has made your administration fight legitimate businesses and the opposition.

“I might add that it is actions such as this that have led to an unprecedented capital flight which has caused joblessness and made Nigeria the world headquarters for extreme poverty under your watch.”

Banditry and Killings: Why is Zamfara different? By Idoko Ainoko (Opinion)

Editor's note: Following the killing of many residents of villages in Zamfara state by armed bandits, Idoko Ainoko analyses various attacks by gunmen in Nigerian communities.

Ainoko also raises questions on the difference in these attacks.

Zamfara state is in the news again. So much so that I am tempted to ask if the state is jinxed with misfortunes. I am quite appalled with the security situation in the state. I am also somewhat at a loss as to why the killings in the state have refused to abate despite the numerous intervention of our security agencies.

As a start, I have been one of those that have stated that the killings in Zamfara are a function of two variables. One bothers on failure in governance, and the other on a covert power struggle between two supposedly political heavyweights, Governor Abdul-Aziz Yari and Mansur Dan-Ali, the Minister of Defence.

Political egos have turned the state into a killing field. On the part of the governor, his abysmal performance has further entrenched a regime of agitations that has manifested in the senseless killing and maiming of innocent civilians.

And as the level of poverty intensifies, frustrated youths are everywhere taking to antisocial behaviour by way of political thuggery, drug addiction, armed robbery, and the likes.

The rural folks are also not left behind. They have even resorted to banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling, produce theft, ransacking of villages, and genocidal killings. All just to make ends meet.

According to Data from the NBS National Corruption Survey for 2017 published in August 2017, it reflected that Crime and Insecurity was the most critical issue affecting Nigeria with 38.3% recorded by Zamfara state.

Isn't this mind-boggling with regards to the fact that the defence minister is from the state and, as well as a democratically elected governor and chief security officer of the state as stipulated by law.

And yet, there is supposedly a governor who spends the bulk of his time in Abuja, roaming between countries and buying up properties like the world is coming to an end, while his state is up in flames. And guess what?

As comical as he is, he would come up with a flimsy on how he has resigned as the chief security officer of the state from his abode in Abuja. Wonders shall indeed never end.

According to an inside source within the security agencies, it described the governor as a monumental failure and one that does not listen to advise but instead prefers to see things from the prism of his selfish interest. As a fact, the governor was once quoted as stating that he cannot spend a full week in Zamfara state because of the level of underdevelopment.

To say I was astonished by this is more of an understatement because here was a man that was not under any form of coercion when he aspired to govern the state. And the last time I checked, the state capital is in Gusau and not Abuja.

PAY ATTENTION: Download our mobile app to enjoy the latest news update

That Zamfara is still reeling in underdevelopment is not surprising, and that the killings have refused to abate is also a manifestation of how meaningful governance has eluded the people thereby leading to increased crime rate and insecurity.

Some school of thoughts would argue that poverty exists because of the inadequacy of government and the system we live in.

And I would agree, and if we must tell ourselves the truth, people like Abdul-Aziz Yari should bury their heads in shame because they have failed woefully. Imagine a situation where killings are ongoing in the state and the governor is busy travelling from pillar to post or addressing press conferences in Abuja.

The minister of Defence, Mansur Dan Ali is also culpable in the Zamfara trajectory in my opinion. As a start, it is most despicable that the home state of the defence minister has been bedeviled with security challenges.

I am also at a loss as to what qualified him to be so appointed as the minister of defence as colourless as he is.

I mean, his foray in the military does not speak of any tangible contribution, both intellectually or otherwise. The closest he got to it was when he was appointed an acting director, military training. And that is the man that was so selected as defence minister. I wonder what we expect from such, hence why his home state has been on fire, and he seems confused.

The appalling angle to the whole story is that the Defence Minister has refused to come to terms with modern strategies in warfare, so much so that despite the intervention of the armed forces, there seems to be no headway in Zamfara because of what the duo of the defence minister and the state governor are doing. Some say they are in a superiority contest. Some say they are struggling for control of security budget.

So also say both parties have been covertly fuelling the crisis so as they undermine themselves. In all of these, I think there is more to the drama in Zamfara state. The power struggle, the money, the control of political structures and resources, the quest for relevance and many others have made the Zamfara case different.

READ ALSO: NAIJ.com upgrades to Legit.ng: a letter from our Editor-in-Chief Bayo Olupohunda

This is also despite the military operations like Operation Sharan Daji and Operation Whirl stroke II and others. Interestingly, one would have expected that since the defence minister is from Zamfara, he ought to have extended all the necessary support to the Armed Forces in securing lives and properties.

But from what I have gathered, it appears the military has not enjoyed that support from the defence minister especially when it comes to military interventions in the state for reasons best known to him.

Maybe he prefers the statuesque so he can further advance his political battles. While it is okay to fight political battles, but not at the detriment of the lives of innocent people, the killings in Zamfara must stop.

And those in positions of authority that have in one way or the other through their actions and in-actions contributed to the degradation of human lives in Zamfara state should bury their heads in shame.

There was a time in the past when weddings were simple. Couples say their vows, ate a little cake, drank a little wine, invited guests munch some rice and that was it. Unfortunately, that's not the case these days. Presently, an average wedding costs over $30,000, and that doesn’t cover the honeymoon. Cue the cascading flower curtains, a champagne fountain, and late-night food truck.

Needless to say, weddings are trendier than ever, and there are no signs they'll be stopping anytime soon. If you think the average couple pulls out all the stops, you can imagine how well celebrities know how to throw down the red carpet on their special day.

Oddly enough, no matter how much a couple blows on their wedding, be it a star or a normal person, it doesn't ensure a happy marriage. For these 13 celebrity couples, spending an arm and a leg on their big day may have been a jinx. From least to most expensive, these celebrity weddings ended in a nasty divorce.

Okay, seriously, who didn't love a combo of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston? Besides quite possibly being the most beautiful couple to ever grace the red carpet, they seemed cute and nearly perfect. It was in July 2000 that Aniston and Pitt said I do in Malibu, California. With flowers, multiple bands, and fireworks galore, the wedding was unquestionably a very classy affair.

In 2005, after almost five years, the couple’s marriage ended in divorce. Although Pitt claims he didn't have an affair with “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” costar Angelina Jolie, the on-screen couple certainly shared a chemistry. Throughout the process, Aniston remained impressively composed when discussing the divorce with the media outlets.

How to make your bum bigger without working out

If you are interested in how to make butty bigger without surgery, then you should understand that it is not so easy to fulfill your dream. We will have to sweat a lot. It is simply impossible to do this without special exercises. But even with their help, you will not have an immediate result. It will take at least 6-8 months. And during this time, you can only pump up the butty a little, growing its volume by 3-5 cm.

But today we will not talk about how to increase the volume of the buttocks through exercise, we will tell you about some tricks that will visually make your buttocks bigger.

1. Change your walk

The way you are walking can emphasize or veil various parts of the body. Just straighten your shoulders and arch your lower back. It will not only make your butty more attractive but will make your waist slimmer and visually enlarge your chests.

Imitate «Cat Walk.» Imagine that on the ground in front of you is drawn a straight line that runs exactly under the navel, in the center between the feet. When you take a step, move the foot towards the center of the body, that is, place it on this imaginary line. Then stand on the same line with your second stop, just before the first one. Keep going this way - one foot in front of the other - and squeeze the buttocks.

2. Pick the right jeans

A well-matched pair of jeans can visually change your butty. It becomes round and raised. The next time when you will choose jeans, remember the following:

  • Jeans should sit tight. Baggy trousers "drown" your curves, so, they cannot be seen under the excess fabric. Skinny jeans or stretchy ones are perfect for showing off your buttocks. If you are not very comfortable in them, pick up jeans that just sit well in the back.
  • Pay attention to the location of the pockets. Small high pockets on the butty will visually enlarge it. Besides, pockets with decorations such as sparkles, seams or colored threads, create interest and attract the eye to your butty. Do not wear jeans with too big pockets or no pockets at all.
  • Try jeans with high waist. The top of jeans should fit your waist in the narrowest place so that it will look thin, and the butty will seem bigger.
  • Jeans with a low waist (sitting on the hips in the widest part) with a close-fitting shirt also visually increase the size of the buttocks.
  • Do not wear dark jeans in which the buttocks and legs will look smaller (especially if you are wearing a light top). Instead, try white, pastel or light blue jeans.

3. Tighten the waist

If you emphasize a waist, your butty will look more proportionally. Whether your belly is small or not, try these tips to make a favorable impression for men:

  • Wear a belt at the waist. Find a narrow or wide belt and tie it at the waist in the narrowest place, over a blouse or shirt (the belt looks best over button-down shirts, sweaters or loose blouses). Choose a dark belt over a light shirt for excellent effect.
  • Try a belt corset. If your waist is slightly larger than you would like, try wearing a corset belt. It must shift the excess from the abdomen to the buttocks and hips. Corset can be purchased at most clothing and underwear stores.
  • Do not wear anything in a horizontal strip or with patterns on the waist. Overloaded with an ornament or too bright fabric emphasizes your belly and visually increases it. Instead, stop at the dark base colours on top. So your butty will look big and hot!

4. Put on high heels

They change the natural shape of the spine in such a way that both the butty and the chest are more visible.

If you want to make the buttocks bigger, forget about the low thin heel for the spike heels.

If you are not sure that it will work, stand on tiptoe in front of the mirror. Take a few steps, and you will notice how the movements of your legs and backside slightly become bigger. Your legs will look slimmer, and the butty will be visually a couple of centimeters higher.

Try modeling underwear, which immediately makes the butty bigger without sides or buy special pads designed to add the volume to the hips visually when you are wearing jeans or trousers. These are effective tools that will instantly make your buttocks more attractive. Choose the size that best suits your clothing and the image you want to achieve.

Some jeans are even originally sold with stitched sides.

Try to make the sides by your own hands, using foam filler or material for stuffing pillows and blankets.

Various fillers, injections, and implants have recently enjoyed considerable popularity, but the results are rather contradictory. In some cases, after such procedures, the buttocks looked very uneven, the filler material eventually crawled and moved. In the worst cases, procedures to make the butty bigger caused serious health problems.

Some people even died as a result of toxic injections or improper installation of implants. Before you decide on such an operation, it is important to know and be aware of all the potential consequences of such a decision.

What to eat to get a bigger buttocks fast

If you want to make your butty bigger, you should abandon a strict diet aimed at decreasing body weight. The body spends the received calories to maintain the work of the organism if there is a shortage of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates.

The process of increasing the buttocks also does not occur when eating sweets or fatty foods. The excess weight, in this case, will be deposited on the hips. The appearance of the buttocks will deteriorate: they will become brittle, shapeless, covered with a dense crust of cellulite.

Nutrition for making butty bigger should be healthy and balanced. Its basis is protein because it is the building material for muscles. Useful protein sources include:

  • eggs (preferably boiled);
  • beef and veal;
  • fillet of poultry without skin;
  • lean fish;
  • dairy products;
  • all kinds of beans.

  • cereals;
  • whole wheat bread;
  • brown rice dishes;
  • breakfast cereals without sugar.

Unsaturated fats are an integral part of the diet for making bum bigger. Healthy nutrition is impossible without the healthy fats that are necessary for cell renewal and the regulation of metabolic processes. The lack of these compounds can worsen the work of the brain and make the skin dry and limp. Be sure to add the following foods to the diet:

  • cold pressed vegetable oil;
  • fish oil capsules or small portions of redfish;
  • nuts (walnuts, almonds, cashews).

Do not forget that proteins are needed for muscles. They are the building blocks. Therefore, it will be much better for your figure, if this 150-500 kcal in the diet are added with protein products.

The change in the proportions of the body is influenced not only by the quality of the food but also by the time it is consumed. Fractional nutrition is also beneficial. In this case, there should not be long breaks between meals, during which the body uses nutrients from the muscle mass to support vital activity.
