President Muhammadu Buhari’s Thursday February 14 broadcast to Nigerians ahead of the general elections has generated mixed reactions from citizens across the country.

Legit.ng had reported that the president in the evening of Thursday, February 14, told Nigerians to come out and caste their votes in a peaceful atmosphere just as he assured the international community of their safety during the exercise.

Buhari had also warned the youths of the country to avoid being used or sponsored by those who want them for their selfish reasons.

The president among other things, noted that anyone issuing threats to the international community or foreign observers is on his own. He also enumerated the achievements of his government in the past almost four years.

But no sooner had the broadcast ended when Nigerians began to react to the speech on social media. While some criticised the speech, calling it as a campaign broadcast, others promised to vote for the president at the polls on Saturday, February 16.
