Kayode Fayemi, the governor of Ekiti, has reinstated three permanent secretaries whose appointments were reversed by the Fayose-led government in 2014, Punch reports.

Fayemi's chief press secretary, Yinka Oyebode, in a statement revealed that the names of the affected permanent secretaries are Grace Iyabo Fadipe, Emmanuel Olajide Owolabi and James Babalola Folorunso.
Added to their reinstatement, the governor also directed that their entitlements beginning from when their appointments were reversed be added up and paid to them.
Meanwhile, Governor Fayemi in November 2018, also reinstated not less than six permanent secretaries that were sacked by Fayose.
During the approval of the reinstatement, Fayemi said: “What happened to them is against the rule of law and natural justice.
“It is only fair that they be reinstated to their former statuses. Even if they have retired, their entitlements should be calculated on those statuses.”

The governor said efforts at restoring the Ekiti values also include ensuring that all and sundry enjoy justice.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Ekiti state deputy governor, Bisi Egbeyemi, on Sunday, January 6, said the state government had paid the one month salary arrears owed by the Fayose administration to civil servants.
Egbeyemi announced this while addressing religious leaders, political office holders and civil servants at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti. Egbeyemi said that Fayemi had promised to make the life of Ekiti people better and ensure that all and sundry felt the positive impact of the government.
