Senator Dino Melaye wishes son happy birthday, says he will be greater than him (photo)

Legit.ng had earlier reported that Senator Dino Melaye finally surrendered to the Nigeria Police Force after eight days siege on his Abuja residence. According to the report, the senator and lawmakers who came to his house to show solidarity are heading to the police headquarters as at the time of filing this report.

Ever since his he surrendered himself to the police, the senator has been ill and has been in the hospital. However, despite being in the hospital he was surrounded with police officers.

On Sunday, January 13, Senator Melaye took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of his son as he wished him happy birthday. He also wished that his son will be greater than him.

He shared his son’s picture with the caption: “Happy Birthday my Son. God will keep you and bless you on all sides. Grace will envelope you. Daddy loves you. You will be greater than me IJN.

It could be recalled that on Friday, January 4, in a statement by spokesman Jimoh Moshood, he said the senator was in stable condition. He did not indicate the nature of the senator’s illness or in which hospital he is being treated. Adding that before Melaye was moved to the unidentified hospital, he faced an interrogation by the police team probing his involvement in the shooting of a policeman by thugs embedded in a convoy of the senator on July, 19, 2018 in Kogi state.
