- Governor Nasir El-Rufai has called on Kaduna people to vote for APC in 2019

- The Kaduna governor claimed the PDP is renting crowd to boost its campaign rallies

- He said the task in 2019 is to continue to work towards the upliftment of the people

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has described the coming 2019 general elections as a battle between thieves and honest people.

Daily trust reports that the Kaduna governor also accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of renting crowd from neighbouring countries because Sokoto people refused to come out for the rally.

The governor spoke on Tuesday, December 4, at the launching of his campaign council in Kaduna. He called on Kaduna people to show the PDP that the state would not allow them to cheat.

He said: “What we have done in Kaduna state in the last three years has shown that APC as a party is the one that loves the masses and assists the masses; not a party that will take public fund and share among the rich. That is why we want you people to go out and tell the people to vote President Muhammadu Buhari again.

“So, when it is time to launch President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign in Kaduna, people should come for the whole world to see that it is not Niger Republic people that are disguising as Nigerians.

"We should vote for President Muhammadu Buhari and all the APC candidates. In Kaduna, we will support APC from top to bottom."

The governor said the task in 2019 is to continue to work towards the upliftment of the people as they cannot “allow the people whose ideology is looting to return to power.”

Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said his reelection in the 2019 Kaduna state governorship poll is almost a done deal despite all the people that have been upset by some policies of his administration.

Speaking as a special guest at the 2018 National Council on Finance and Economic Development (NACOFED) conference which held in Kaduna on Monday, November 26, El-Rufai said getting reelected as the governor of the state is not paramount in his agenda, but doing the right thing is, The Cable reports.
