- Adeola said the problem facing Nigeria today was created during the PDP's 16 years in govermnet

- He added that it is politically fraudulent to compare APC four years in power to that of PDP's 16 years

Solomon Adeola, the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District and Chairman of Senate Committee on Local Content, has advised Nigerians desirous of positive development not to return Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to power in 2019.

The Sun reports that he said the foundation and construction of the trying times Nigerians are currently undergoing were laid and built by PDP, through mismanagement of resources and shameful looting.

He said: “It is politically fraudulent to compare APC’s less than four years administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to the unbroken 16 years rule of PDP under different administrations and blame the incumbent government for the trying times in Nigeria.

“The truth is that APC’s administration has been trying to clear the mess of PDP mis-governance, while building necessary infrastructures that were left to decay under PDP.

“The policy document of PDP candidates says it all, what they want to do and how long they want to stay in power, contrary to fake promises.

"Former vice president and PDP presidential candidate, Abubakar Atiku, has said he will sell Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and refineries, and the question to ask is, who will be the buyers? We know his antecedents as the point man for the privatisation in PDP administration in the past, when many national developmental assets were sold off to cronies at giveaway prices."

Legit.ng earlier reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was on Monday, November 26, dealt a devastating blow after 60 support groups of the ruling party all of which have not less than 5, 000 members in total defected to the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP).
