A member of the Bauchi state assembly, Muhammad Aminu Tukur, has insisted that the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, would never do anything to undermine the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Daily Trust reports that Tukur, representing Lere\Bula constituency in the state, told a press conference that Dogara was a strong believer in democracy and supporter of the president.

The lawmaker faulted the claims of a group in his constituency over the recent resolution passed after the joint sitting of the National Assembly.
He accused some desperate politicians in the state of sponsoring the group for their selfish political gains.
Tukur said: “It came to our knowledge that an unknown, clandestine group, suspected to be hired by a failing politician in Bauchi State is all out to discredit the honour and integrity of the Speaker for no reasons other than pecuniary, self-serving and parochial."

The president disclosed on his official Twitter handle @MBuhari, on Friday, June 8, that he made the statement when speaking with youths working in the entertainment, arts, media and other fields during the breaking of Ramadan fast on Thursday night, June 7, at the presidential villa, in Abuja.
