The deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, has given reasons for failing two things which his former boss, Senator David Mark taught him in the course of their working together over the years.
Daily Trust reports that Ekweremadu who made the disclosure at the weekend during the 70th birthday celebration of the former Senate President in Otukpo, also posited that the Mark's era at the red chamber left an indelible mark on Nigeria's democracy.

"I attribute all my successes to God and David Mark. David taught me two things that l can't forget; he taught me how to play golf and pilot helicopter but l failed all because he gave me too much jobs to do," he said.
NAIJ.com gathered that the deputy Senate president further explained that he did well in the things learnt from Mark except golfing that he never had the time to learn properly and piloting an helicopter which he attempted but landed in a cassava plantation.
He lauded Mark for helping him through all his tribulations and successes of political journey, maintaining that his rare qualities brought political stability to National Assembly, especially the constitutional amendment, electoral reforms and the doctrine of necessity.
"Mark became a better solution to Nigeria problem between 2007 and 2011. I urge him to continue in his belief and trust in God," Ekweremadu added.
Earlier, a former minister of interior, Comrade Abba Moro, eulogised Mark for distinguishing himself in all aspects of life especially in his political career, as he noted that the country was not yet done with him in the Nigerian project.
In his remark, the ex-governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam, opined that Mark has lived a risky life in his military and political career considering that he sacrificed his life for the survival of Nigeria's democracy.

It was reported that the Senate president’s properties are townhouses at 2747 Club Cortile Circle and 2763 Club Cortile Circle, Kissimmee, Florida.
