Six days to presidential election, the candidate of All Progressives Congress, President Muhammadu Buhari's chances of winning the poll has again been boosted with his adoption by the Oyo state chapter of Alliance for Democracy (AD) as its presidential candidate.

He said the midway withdrawal of AD presidential candidate, Emiola Ojajuni, geared the party to look for other candidate whom they believed could serve the interest of Nigerians better.

”Arising from this, the national body of AD, has given each of the state chapter of the party to adopt presidential candidate of their choice.

”We have taken time to critically look at the situation on ground, viz-a-viz, the two leading candidates, Buhari and Atiku Abubakar, before settling for Buhari.

”The personal attributes of Buhari as a spartan personality with integrity raises him far above his PDP counterpart. The current president has been doing his best to put the country on the right track.

”PMB has in the last four years began to lay the foundation of a new Nigeria. Therefore, to halt the process now will amount to taking back the country to the year of locust pilfering and shameful pillage of the common wealth.

”I hereby direct our members and supporters across the state to cast their votes for Buhari, the man with pure, genuine desire and clean heart for the true growth and development of Nigeria,” Alao stated.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adeola Adepoju, the state chairman of the party and other party supporters witnessed the declaration. (NAN)
