Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has made it clear that Portuguese football manager Jose Mourinho was the architect of his own misfortune at the Premier League side.
The former Real Madrid and Chelsea gaffer was sacked on December 18 after an embarrassing defeat against Liverpool, and he has been replaced with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Paul Scholes was Jose Mourinho's critic throughout his reign at Manchester United, and the ex England international believes the Portuguese got himself sacked at Old Trafford.

The 44-year-old Englishman made this known when he was speaking with Norwegian TV station TV2.
''I felt Mourinho didn't want to be there. He engineered his move away perfectly in the end.
''His press conferences were embarrassing, so negative, it was obvious in the end the players didn't want to play for him. The right thing happened in the end,'' Paul Scholes explained.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who replaced Jose Mourinho at Manchester United has been impressive for the club since he took over.
He has won his first six games this season as Manchester United currently occupy sixth position on the Premier League standings.
Solskjaer has also made it clear that he is interested in becoming Manchester United permanent coach at the end of the season.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid have reportedly opened talks with Portuguese football manager Jose Mourinho with the possibility of him returning to the club next year.
Jose Mourinho was recently sacked at Premier League side Manchester United, and fresh news coming in stated clearly that he is wanted by Real Madrid chiefs five years after leaving them.
According to the report, negotiations is currently going on between Los Blancos' chiefs and Jose Mourinho.
