President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to concede defeat if he lost the forthcoming 2019 presidential elections.
Speaking at a town hall meeting tagged "The Candidates," the president said he was not afraid to lose the election since he had suffered it three times before becoming the president in 2015, The Punch reports.
President Buhari, who expressed optimism on winning the poll with a landslide victory, however promised to succumb to the will of the country in case if was defeated.

Recall that Buhari had lost three presidential elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011 to former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umar Musa Yar'adua, and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan respectively.
In his first attempt, he garnered 12.7 million votes, while in the second one he got 6.6 million votes to succumb to late president and compatriot Yar'adua.
In an election that boomeranged into violence in the norther part of the country, then a candidate of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), President Buhari lost to ex-president Jonathan with 12.2 million votes.
When asked by the coordinator of the programme how he will react to 2019 presidential election if he lost, President Buhari said: “It won’t be the first time I will lose election. I tried 2003 and I was in court for 13 months, 2007. I was in court for 18 months in 2011 and went up to the Supreme Court. I sat down and said; `God Dey’, and for the fourth time, God and technology helped me.’'

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported President Muhammadu Buhari had urged individuals or organisations with any evidence of corrupt practices against members of his administration to come forward with such proofs to him for prompt action at anti-graft commission.
The president gave the challenge at a town hall meeting tagged: ‘The Candidates’ organised by the MacArthur Foundation, in collaboration with NTA and DARIA Media in Abuja on Wednesday, January 16.
