Imo state governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, Uche Nwosu, has again declared that the state will vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 election, irrespective of the position of the party’s national leadership.
The Nation reports that Nwosu, who was reacting to threats by AA’s national chairman Kenneth Udeze to expel him from the party for supporting the president, said no threats would stop the party from voting for him.
According to him, “We have made up our minds in the state AA to support the president and nothing can change that.

''No amount of threat or blackmail can change our decision. The AA can decide what they want in other states but in Imo, we have made up our minds and nothing can change that.
“The support for President Buhari is far and above party or religious inclination, and it is a task I and other members of the Action Alliance are committed to, and we must deliver.”

AA members, led by Nwosu, attended the All Progressives Congress southeast women rally, which did not go down well with AA’s leadership.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the Action Alliance on Monday, January 14, reaffirmed its support for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming presidential election.
The AA national chairman, Chief Kenneth Udeze, who stated this at a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, said: “We are for Atiku/Obi leadership and we are glad to work with all believers of true federalism and efficient administration of governance at all levels to accomplish this as we approach the forthcoming elections.
“The National Executives Committee of our party are on the same page concerning our support for Atiku, same with all our state chapters in this matter.''
