Shehu Sani warns ex-PDP national chairman over planned move to APC

- Mu'azu has been warned by Senator Shehu Sani to be careful over his next political move

Senator Sani has warned a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairman against his purported defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former PDP chairman is likely to be received during APC northeast zonal rally scheduled to hold in Bauchi at the weekend.

Mu’azu, a former governor of Bauchi state had been out of Nigeria for over three years until December 2018 when he returned and gave out his daughter in marriage.

The wedding ceremony was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other top APC leaders including Bauchi state governor, Mohammed Abubakar.

Thereafter, Mu’azu visited Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, December 19, but declined to speak with State House correspondents after the over two hour meeting.

Senator Sani in a tweet, on Thursday, January 10, used a proverb to warn Mu'azu of his next political move.

Meanwhile, hours after he was suspended by the PDP, the deputy national chairman (north) of the APC and Bauchi indigene, Babayo Gamawa, defected to the ruling party and visited President Buhari.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the PDP, on Monday, January 7, announced the immediate suspension of Babayo.

Babayo was suspended over alleged involvement in anti-party activities, according to the PDP's spokesman, Kola Ologbodiyan.
