- Members of House of Representatives have called on the minister of budget and national planning to retract a statement credited to him about the 2019 budget

- The budget minister, Udoma Udoma, had earlier said the delay in the presentation of 2019 budget was because of lack of cooperation from members of NASS

- But reacting to the statement, the speaker of House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara, berated the minister for causing distraction

Following a statement credited to the minister of budget and national planning, Udoma Udoma that the delay in the presentation of 2019 was from National Assembly, the House of Representatives has attacked the minister in a fierce counter reaction.

The Punch reports that the criticism of the minister came when the speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, was reading the letter sent by President Muhammadu Buhari notifying the legislature of his intention to present the budget soon.

Legit.ng gathers that Dogara chided the minister for lying, adding that the letter of the president was received on Thursday, December 13, and read immediately at the floor of the house.
