A while ago, social media was left in a frenzy after Nigerian singer, Davido revealed he had signed up for the compulsory one year service under the NYSC programme. While many people praised him for his humility, others express their concern over his ability to abide by the rules.
Well, it appears that his service year may have ended. Davido has suggested in a since deleted post on Instagram, that his service year got cancelled. The NYSC Director of Information, Adenike Adeyemi, however, did not say what punishment had been meted out to Davido who has broken several NYSC bye-laws.
Just few days in camp, Davido left camp and traveled to the United States, going on a tour. This is seen on his Instagram page as he shared photos. The singer went on to violate more laws and did little to hide it.

It is common knowledge that the singer rallied for his uncle, Demola Adeleke who was a gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun state. For weeks, the single shuttled between Lagos and Osun during the election, thus breaking two more NYSC rules.
One which states that participation in partisan politics is prohibited and the other which says corps members should not leave their place of primary assignments without the permission of their state coordinators.
The singer is yet to comment further on the issue.
