In the statement through its official handle, @BuhariCentre, Aisha was quoted expressing her support for her husband, contrary to reports peddling across the media in 2017 that the First Lady had vowed not to support her husband due to some internal discords and difference.
Affirming her support, the first lady said: "Let me use this opportunity to state that I support my husband in this call to service and will continue to do so."
According to the First Lady, who recently chided her husband and the All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, over the party's primary elections across the country, President Buhari was elected by Nigerians based on trust and confidence.
She also noted that her husband's position is a call to service, vowing to giver her blessings.
She said: "Nigerians elected this administration based on the trust and confidence they have on my husband; I therefore feel that we’re here to serve Nigeria to the best of our ability."
