Johnson Agbonayinma who is a member of the House of Representatives has raised allegation that some members were collating signatures in an attempt to impeach vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
The Punch reports that the lawmaker representing Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency, Edo state raised this allegation on Tuesday, December 4, in Abuja.

He claimed that “some political gladiators and media houses were sponsoring fake news against Osinbajo. The reason is because of the NEMA investigation."
Agbonayinma did not disclose the lawmakers involved in the alleged impeachment process but said they also included disgruntled members of the All Progressives Congress.
The House had probed the activities of the National Emergency Management Agency in the northeast.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) advised Osinbajo to seek forgiveness and make restitution for entangling himself in alleged corruption and sharp practices.
Osinbajo was indicted by the House of Representatives in an alleged N5.8 billion northeast intervention fund scandal.
In reaction, the presidency on Friday, November 9, dismissed the lower house allegation that there were violations in the approval of N5.8 billion fund by Osinbajo.
