- An Arsenal fan has taken the time to make available a conspiracy theory thst has to do with Mesut Ozil's injury
- The German football star was unable to be part of the Arsenal squad that defeated rivals Tottenham in the London derby
- French club Paris-Saint-Germain are also said to be leading the race to sign the former Real Madrid star next year
Mesut Ozil's absence for Arsenal against rivals Tottenham in the Premier League North London derby has caught the attention of one Gunners' fan.
The German football star was missing in Unai Emery's first team against Spurs at the Emirates stadium, but his teammates did not miss him as they went on to beat Tottenham in a tough tie.
And Arsenal faithful Le Grove has created a crazy yet believable conspiracy theory revolving around Özil's love of gaming.
Back in October, it emerged online that Mesut Özil has over 600 wins to his name on the free-to-play title.
Now, Le Grove has said that his enjoyment of Fortnite has led to injury woes.
"For anyone who knows anything about Fortnite, to get 600 wins takes an incredible amount of time.
"To get a win, you have to beat either 99 players if you're in solo mode, 48 other teams in duo mode or 24 other teams in squad mode.
"That's very, very hard to do.
"If I was the manager or head executive at Arsenal, that would tell me that Özil is engaging in an unhealthy, sedentary activity that may also lead to hate, long nights because like all the best games, it's addictive.
"If Özil has back pain, it might have to do with sitting down for several hours at a time while he shows far more fight and aggression than he ever has done on the football field.
"Of course, many athletes play a lot of video games, but that 600 wins amount (he has an excellent 12 per cent winning rate) means that he's played close to 6,000 games."
Meanwhile, PSG lead the race for Ozil's signature at 7/4 ahead of a potential reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus (9/4), while 4/1 says he stays in the Premier League and joins Chelsea.
