Former Man City star wants Klopp to be arrested for his shocking celebration after Liverpool's last minute goal against Everton

Former Manchester City defender Danny Mills has lashed out at Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for his over zealous celebrations claiming it was an arrestable offence.

The German tactician ran into the pitch after Divock Origi's 96th minute winner over Merseyside rivals Everton and hugged goalkeeper Alisson in delight.

And the ex-England international has described Klopp's reaction to the goal as shocking and disrespectful.

"It's absolutely shocking what he does," he said on BBC Radio 5 Live .

"Go down the touchline, leave your technical area, celebrate with your staff. I don't have a problem with that at all.

"But to run into the middle of the pitch - if that's a fan, of course (he would get arrested). I think it's disrespectful to Everton, and he knows it.

"Yes it's a derby, it's a big game, but you cannot run into the middle of the pitch. Last minute or not."

However, the former Borussia Dortmund has apologized for the celebration in a post-match interview and added he was not in any way disrespecting his opponents.

But the German confessed that he simply got carried away.

"I have to apologise because I didn't want to be disrespectful but I couldn't stop myself," he told Sky Sports. "It just happened!

"The plan was not to run onto the pitch to celebrate! When I chose to stop I was close to Alisson.

"He was surprised!"

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Liverpool kept pace with Manchester City in the Premier League following a 1-0 victory over Everton.

Divock Origi scored in the 96th minute following a blunder from Jordan Pickford as the Reds claimed all three points.
