As the curtain of his government draws today, November 27, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state has become the subject of eulogy from figures across walks of life.
In a report available in The Punch, at a colloquium organised in Osogbo tagged "Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in Eye of History,” Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state praised Governor Aregbesola for taking risk in building a new Osun state.
Legit.ng gathers that Bagudu, showering flurry of encomium on Aregebesola, said the education policy of the Osun state governor remained the best in the country.

He said: “I got to know Governor Aregbesola through my colleague in the Senate, Sola Adeyeye. He told me a lot about Governor Aregbesola before I eventually met him. When I met him, I was not disappointed.
“Our committee, while in the Senate, was in Osun to see some of his projects in the education sector. In our separate reports, we all concluded that Aregbesola had the best education policy in the country.”
Aregbesola would be dropping the baton of Osun political leadership for the 64 year-old Gboyega Oyetola as the fifth governor of the state.
Oyetola, an native of Iragbiji, would mount the governor's stool in the presence of important personalities led by the secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the outgoing governor of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola, had said that he did not earn salaries throughout the eight years of his administration.
The governor, who revealed that his next political plans after office was to take rest from politics, disclosed this during an interactive programme tagged ‘Ogbeni Till Day Break’ on Saturday, November 17, in Osogbo.
