Those who were nominated included Dickson Akor, Sam Ode, former House of Representatives members, Hassan Saleh, Nelson Alapa, and Daniel Onjeh.
But setting the record straight, the APC spokesperson assured that running mate would be announced on or before Saturday, December 1, on the day the party would inaugurate its campaign council.
He said: "You know since it is an election matter, there were divergent interests but they have been harmonised and in a couple of days, Benue APC will announce the running mate of our governorship candidate and the campaign council at the same time.
“The position of the running mate to the governorship candidate of the party was zoned to the Benue south senatorial district otherwise known as zone c, where all the elders of the party in that axis have agreed on a particular person whose name would be forwarded to INEC for confirmation before Sunday, December 2.
"The selected candidate would subsequently be announced to the public on the day the party will inaugurate its campaign council."
