Chelsea hold talks with Serie A giants as they prepare to offload 3 top stars including Fabregas

- Chelsea are still discussing with AC Milan chiefs over a possible switch in the winter transfer window

- The pair of Cahill and Fabregas will be out of contract at the end of the current campaign while Christensen penned an extension in January 2018

Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly in talks with AC Milan over the trio of Cesc Fabregas Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen making a possible switch to the San Siro in January.

According to The Mirror citing sources at Milan station Radio Rossonera, Italian boss Maurizio Sarri is keen on offloading the trio, who have all struggled for game time this term.

The report further revealed that AC Milan’s sporting director and Brazil legend, Leonardo has been representing the Serie A outfit, since talks concerning the trio commenced with Blues eggheads.

The Rossoneri are keen on a loan deal for the 31-old Fabregas, who has featured in 135 games for Chelsea, since arriving from Barcelona in 2014.

However, since Sarri’s arrival the Spaniard has enjoyed limited appearances after playing just nine games so far, with the Italian opting for the quartet of N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley in the middle.

Fabregas is expected to be out of contract in the summer but only played 48 minutes of Premier League football this campaign.

In addition, 32-year-old Cahill and Christensen are also linked with Milan despite playing active role for former boss Antonio Conte, but have struggled for selection with the duo of Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz playing regularly.

Cahill joined Chelsea in 2012 from Bolton, and has featured for 190 times, but his current contract also expires next summer.

On the other hand, 22-year-old Denmark star Christensen is yet feature in the Premier League under Sarri, but sealed a new four-and-a-half-year extension in January and would likely command a higher fee to leave Stamford Bridge this winter.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported Italian League giants AC Milan are reportedly planning to sign out of favour Chelsea stars Andreas Christensen and Gary Cahill in January.

Both defenders have been relegated to the bench since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri from Napoli this summer.

The Rossoneri are without three key defenders due to injury and are desperate to sign new legs.
