The most prestigious piece of silverware in European club football is the UEFA Champions League.
Many managers and players rate the Champions League crown second to only the World Cup in terms of prestige.
Some of the greatest footballers of all time have never won a single UCL title. The list includes greats, such as Ronaldo and Gianluigi Buffon.
Other legends of the game, such as Messi, Andries Iniesta, Iker Casillas and Paulo Maldini have won it numerous times.

However, all with one club only. In this article, Legit.ng looks at five players who achieved the incredible feat with two or more clubs
1. Clarence Seedorf
The Dutchman had a glittering career across different European leagues.
His first taste of Champions League success came with the famous Ajax Amsterdam side in the 1994/1995 season, where they beat AC Milan in the final.
Real Madrid then came calling and he managed to win the coveted crown for a second time with them during the 1997/1998 season.
Incredibly, Seedorf would win the UCL with a 3rd different team after he moved to AC Milan in 2002.
In fact, the attacking midfielder helped Milan to 2 UCL titles, first in 2003/ 2004 and then again in 2006/ 2007.
As things stand, Seedorf is the only player to have won the UCL with 3 different clubs.
2. Samuel Eto’o
The Cameroonian striker was one of the most feared marksmen playing in Europe in his prime.
Eto’o won the UCL twice with Barcelona. First in 2005/ 2006 where he formed a potent front 3 alongside Leo Messi and Ronaldinho. Then again in 2008/ 2009.
He moved to Inter Milan the following season and they won the title during that campaign as well under Jose Mourinho.

3. Marcel Desailly
The powerful French defender won the prestigious tournament with Marseille during the 1992/ 1993 season.
He then moved to AC Milan the next season and they beat Barcelona to take the 1994 crown.
Desailly joins only a handful of players to have won the UCL with 2 different clubs in 2 consecutive seasons.
4. Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time.
He first rose to prominence at Manchester United, after joining as a teenager.
During the 2007/ 2008 season, he helped United to a UCL title.
He soon moved to Real Madrid and won the tournament with them during the 2013/ 2014 season.
Madrid went on to dominate European football for the next few years as they replicated that success during 3 consecutive seasons from 2015 to 2018.
Ronaldo will be looking to join Seedorf as the only other player to win it with 3 different clubs as he now plays for Juventus.

5. Toni Kroos
Kroos is one of the world’s premier midfield controllers.
The German was seen as Xabi Alonso’s long term successor at Real Madrid and it was fitting that he went to join Madrid and Alonso joined Bayern Munich.
However, prior to his departure from Bayern, Kroos achieved UCL success during the 2012/ 2013 season.
His move to Madrid took place in 2014 and along with Ronaldo, won the UCL for 3 consecutive seasons.
Kroos forms a brilliant midfield partnership alongside Luka Modric and Casemiro and remains the only German to have won the tournament with 2 different sides.
