A faceoff between rival gangs of thugs in Lagos has drawn the attention of officers of the police command in the state who intervened in the scene and restore peace.
The police command in Lagos has contained a clash between two rival groups of hoodlums in the Fadeyi area of the state.

The ugly development, characterised by gunshots, was arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the command in the state.

Operatives of the squad have been positioned in strategic areas in a bid to maintain security and restore peace, while efforts are being made to arrest more suspects.
Earlier, NAIJ.com reported that the voting process of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary was disrupted for a while at ward G north, Abesan in Alimosho, as thugs chased away voters.
NAIJ.com gathered that the thugs numbering about 15 on Tuesday, October 2, invaded the Abesan High School, venue of the exercise around 9.45am, flogging voters and preventing them from being accredited.
The motive of the hoodlums as well as their sponsors could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report. Some policemen at the venue later responded to the situation by arresting some of the hoodlums and restoring order.
