It is no longer news that some white people become hostile or uncomfortable when black people are around them, and this has been attributed to racial discrimination.
Situations like that have led to several false accusations against some blacks, and if they are unlucky, the issue never get resolved.
An African-American woman, Sheila Stubbs, who is also a county supervisor, shared the experience she had with the police in her community on August 7.
The politician was visiting voters in a predominantly white area of the city with her mother and her young daughter. She was also with her name tag, a walk list as well as campaign fliers.

According to Stubbs, her mom was driving closely behind as she got down to solicit for support from residents. She further explained that she had been on the street for some minutes when a police car parked behind hers.
She left the resident she was addressing to find out what the problem was, and was shocked at the response of the police.

“I had knocked at approximately six doors and some of the future constituents were home, and those that were home, I talked to for about 10 minutes ... because they were excited that I stopped by.
"I happened to look over and I see this police officer had pulled up behind my car.”
The police had told her that they got a call from someone who believed she was a drug dealer.

Stubbs expressed her shock and explained to them that she wasn’t a drug dealer but that she was only campaigning.
The county supervisor even had to show the police her name tag, fliers and the list of houses she had visited before they believed her and let her go, but not without an apology.
"When I showed it to her, she was like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry. I'm really sorry this happened to you’."
According to the police report obtained by CNN, the officers got a call that a suspicious vehicle was spotted in front of a ‘drug house’ in the neighbourhood.
Stubbs was affected by the encounter, and she just wanted to leave the area but the officer encouraged her to continue with her campaign.
“It was just the humiliation. I felt so degraded, but I had to keep a certain persona.”
