Kehinde while condemning the consensus model of primary, equated it to thwarting of the wish of the people by a few powerful people, saying: “I don’t have any godfather. God is my father, and I don’t believe in ‘do or die’ politics.
“I am coming forward to serve my people because I know I have something to offer. I am a salary earner. I am a lecturer at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.
“About 60 people, I mean my friends contributed the money I used in purchasing my nomination form for the state House of Assembly in Ogun. Some gave me N2,000 each, some gave me N3,000 each, till it peaked at N950,000. The money was raised within 48 hours."
Kehinde, who said he joined the race in order to give his constituents meaningful and impactful representation in the state House of Assembly, added that he would engage in youth empowerment, encourage entrepreneurship among women and ensure legislative backing to promote adequate health care delivery in the state if elected.
