What is WWE Hell In A Cell?
WWE Hell In A Cell is a pay-per-view professional wrestling event from the WWE. Fighters compete in a giant cell structure with a roof. The cell was previously white, but now it is bright red, which is more reminiscent of Hell.
The event has been held annually for the last decade, with this year being its tenth. This time, there were eight matches, including the kick-off match, and the event happened on September 16, 2018. Now that you know the basic stuff, let’s get to the Hell In A Cell results for this year.

This year’s Hell In A Cell event was as entertaining as ever. Here is the breakdown of what happened in each match:
- In the kick-off WWE Hell In A Cell match, The New Day, who are the reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions, met with Rusev Day. Even though Rusev and Aiden English (along with Lana) went hard, Big E and Kofi Kingston (along with Xavier Woods) still came out victorious, finishing the match with a Trouble in Paradise at 8:55 and retaining their title.
- Next, there was a Hell in a Cell match between Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy. In an unsurprising turn of events, Orton won with a 1-2-3 after the long 24:50, not before pretty much humiliating his opponent the entire time.

- In a singles match for WWE SmackDown Women's Championship, Becky Lynch came head-to-head with Charlotte Flair, who held the title. Even though Becky came up against the current-reigning champion, she took no time in bringing her down. After a heated match filled with passion and injuries, Lynch pinned her opponent at 13:50 and won her title.
- The next tag team match was a part of the main event, and it featured champions Drew McIntyre and Dolph Zigler fighting against Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. In what seemed like forever, McIntyre and Zigler defeated their opponents after 24:52. The match was incredibly entertaining, but it did not end with a title change.
- In a singles match for the WWE Championship, Samoa Joe fought with the current-reigning AJ Styles. This match was filled with twists and turns, and even its outcome was a plot twist in itself. Even though AJ has seemingly won at 19:00 and kept his title, a replay showed that he actually tapped out long before that, so Samoa Joe demanded a replay during the Super Show-Down in Australia, which will be held in three weeks.
- The next mixed tag team match saw The Miz and Maryse come forward against Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella. During the match, it looked like everything was stacked against The Miz and Maryse, but a the last moment (at 13:00), they tackled their opponents into submission, which was actually their second win against that team.

- In a singles match for WWE Raw Women's Championship the current champion Ronda Rousey fought Alexa Bliss. Despite all her efforts (and the help from Mickie James and Alicia Fox), Alexa had no chance against Ronda. Rousy, with a little help from Natalya, proved her worth and kept her title by winning with an arm bar at 12:02.
- The last match of the evening was for the WWE Universal Championship, where Roman Reigns, the current titleholder, met with Braun Strowman in the Cell. This was by far the most confusing match of the whole event. While Strowman and Reigns were fighting, with Strowman’s money being on the line, as he cashed in his Money in the Bank prize, Brock Lesnar came crashing in into the Cell. He attacked both fighters, while Paul Heyman incapacitated the special guest referee Mick Foley, making the match end in no contest.
And that is all we can tell you about this year’s event. Which WWE Hell In A Cell result were you anticipating the most?
