- Arsenal goalie Petr Cech worked as an assistant referee in grassroots football match
- The 36-year-old was in between the stick in the Gunners victory over Newcastle
- The Czech legend was dressed casually as he was called into action as a linesman
Arsenal number one Petr Cech worked as a linesman after helping the Gunners to beat Newcastle at St James' Park earlier in the weekend.
The ex-Czech international shared a picture on his Instagram of him officiating as an assistant referee in a grassroots game.
The 36-year-old appeared to be officiating in a girls' Sunday League clash hours after playing full 90 minutes in the 2-1 win over Rafa Benitez side.

Cech was dressed in a jeans short and a top as he was called into action for the grassroots game that took place on Sunday.
But the former Chelsea goalkeeper seemed to embrace the role as he showed-off a snap of himself signalling a player in an offside position.
Cech simply captioned the picture: "#sundayleague #grassrootsfootball".

The former Chelsea goalie struggled with the ball at his feet against the Premier League champions, but his manager at the Emirates is not perturbed with the 36-year-old.
