- Florentino Perez is reportedly furious Zidane wants Manchester United's coaching job
- The former Real Madrid manager left the Bernabeu after winning the Champions League
- The 46-year-old gaffer has been lined up as Mourinho's successor if he gets sacked by United
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is not happy his former employer Zinedine Zidane wants to manage Manchester United, Express quoting El Confidencial.
Zidane resigned as Los Blancos manager barely a week after winning his third consecutive Champions League title.
The 46-year-old revealed he needed to take some time off because he was exhausted, despite Perez’s wishes that he stay on.

But Perez is said to be infuriated Zidane is not taking at least a year away from elite club football.
The France legend recently confirmed he is looking for a new job, saying: "Surely soon I will return to training, because I like it and it's what I've done all my life.”
And Perez has joined the dots, believing Zidane is all set to be appointed as United next manager should Jose Mourinho be sacked .
Reports claim the Red Devils have contacted the former France star regarding a possible future vacancy.
Mourinho is presently on the hot seat at Old Trafford having laboured to secure new signings in the summer.
The Portuguese gaffer only managed to land three first-team players which was not what he wanted in the first place.
Now, United have lost two of their first opening four Premier League games and are already off the pace with title challengers Liverpool and Chelsea who have a perfect record this season.
The Spanish news media outlet El Confidencial claim Mourinho is ‘on a tightrope’ and a switch to Zidane is a viable option.

And there are talks the Frenchman will bring in Toni Kroos, Thiago Alcantara, James Rodriguez and Edison Cavani if Zidane came in.
It is understood Zidane is biding his time and waiting for Mourinho to get the axe, knowing he is first choice at United.
