A woman has taken to social media to share how her dad's death pushed her to drop out of college and start her own business.
A social media user, who identifies as Imvunulo Yekhethelo and ZamaMissLee on Twitter, shared how she had to put her plans to study on hold after her dad passed away.
Yekhethelo wrote on Twitter her dad's death meant she had to help support her family, so she got a job as a caretaker for an elderly woman, who taught her to do bead work.
With the knowledge she obtained from the gogo, Yekhethelo started making her own traditional inspired jewellery.

However, NAIJ.com learned Yekhethelo felt the old lady was overworking her- she would wake up at 04:30 am and work till midnight, then she would have to tend to the orders she got from customers who liked her jewellery.

Her story inspired other social media users, who motivated her to stay positive and continue to work hard to achieve success.
Social media user, ThulaGrootboom wrote, "You gonna be a successful business women, I love your dedication and work."
Mahlomola Mokhobo, who goes by the Twitter handle Zyt_mokhobo, commented: "GOD bless that old lady,she did wonderful job now its up to you to grow this business n train more young women to be as empowered as you."
