The Oyo state government has set out plans to demolish the multi million naira music house, The Yinka Ayefele Music House, belonging to Tungba music creator, Yinka Ayefele, which is situated along Falana Rd in Ibadan.

Recall a while ago, the state government had revealed their plans of demolishing the building stating that it is on the right-of-way for the planned 8-lane road expansion in Ibadan. A building where 150 people earn a living from.

Well, it appears the plans are in the works according to recent reports. A Facebook user identified as David Ajiboye took to the platform to reveal that the building is going to be demolished soon by Governor Ajimobi, stating that a lot of things in the building were not approved.

He wrote:"Gov Ajimobi wants to demolish Music House again because (1) The staff canteen in the premises was not approved. (2) The spiral staircase was not in the approved plan.(3) The mast was not in the approved plan (4) The fence was not in the approved plan....and therefore the entire N800 million edifice where almost 150 people make their daily bread have to go down. You are all invited to the demolition show at the Music House tomorrow."

Although Yinka Ayefele is yet to speak on the issue, he had earlier reacted publicly to the news when it first came out.

He said: ""I know it's a test of my faith and it will soon pass. I observed the stipulated distance range for the building, but no one knew that the area would soon attract an 8-lane way, which will mean more lands have to give way for the expansion.

I know I'm not the only one this will affect. there are hundreds of good people of Oyo state who derive their daily meals from different activities that are carried out in the building. I know the governor of Oyo state will now allow injustice to be carried out. I know he has a good heart and if the house is demolished, I hope I will be duely compensated."
