- Ex-England and Chelsea star John Terry now works as a TV pundit with Egypt’s Pyramids TV

Chelsea legend John Terry has landed a new job working as a TV pundit analysing Egyptian football.
According to a UK Sun report the ex-England’s Three Lions ace has been using his spare time to analyse football games for the TV station owned by super club Pyramids FC.
The club’s Saudi owners are throwing a large amount of money to lure some of the top names in world soccer to be on the show in Cairo, either in person or via satellite link.

At the last count, former football stars like Roberto Carlos, ex-Spurs striker Mido, Ronaldinho, Didier Drogba, Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand are expected to appear on the channel in the course of the season.
However, Terry was indemnified to be on the show for Pyramids’ 1-0 win over Enppi on August 3 as well as their 1-1 home draw against Elentag Elharby on August 8.
The ex-Chelsea defence ace was also on parade during Al-Ahly's 1-1 draw with Ismaily.
Interestingly, Pyramids FC is now Egypt’s club with the biggest budget after it was bought over by Turki Al Alshaikh, the chairman of the General Sports Authority in Saudi Arabia.
The club’s name was also affected in the rebranding exercise as it changed from Al Assiouty Sport to Pyramids FC, and now owns the TV rights to the Egyptian League.
The club’s new financier has also signed about 20 players over the past 14 days as he attempts to buy up the Egypt Premier League title.

According to Terry, it is likened to when Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich in 2003 bought Chelsea– a takeover that helped revolutionise football in the English topflight.
Reacting after his first TV appearance, the 37-year-old Terry said: “I think it’s more complex than paying a lot of money.
“Abramovich gave the chance to a great coach like Jose Mourinho and the coach chooses the players who can serve his style”.
Terry further noted “The mentality of Chelsea had changed but the most important we had a good foundation as a team, I and Frank Lampard were there and many good players who won a lot of trophies”.
Terry also found time to talk about issues in the Pyramids defence line and offered advice which only a former Champions League winner could give.
“The defenders need to talk more with each other’s, and move the ball forward to prevent any possible threat”.
“The goalkeeper also shouldn’t get out from his space to face the striker until be sure the defenders have no chance to cut the ball,” Terry said.
Surprisingly, the former England captain picked fellow TV pundit Mido over Liverpool’s Premier League Boot winner Mo Salah as the toughest Egyptian forward, he faced on the pitch in the course of his career.
He said: “Sure I will pick Mido as the hardest Egyptian striker to play against.
“I have played against him many times, and it was always difficult to stop him although Chelsea had many good defenders”.
On Salah, Terry added: “He played very good football since he was with Chelsea and improved with Liverpool. It’s difficult to compete with him now.”
Summing up the show, veteran Egyptian journalist Amir Abdel-Halim said: “The appearance of Terry didn’t only add a precious value to the staff of Pyramids TV channel, but it gives the defenders in the Egyptian league a chance to learn from one of the best defenders in the world”.

“Seeing Terry alongside Roberto Carlos talking about a match in the Egyptian league was something special for the fans, it’s a privilege for the players too when such legends hail their performance.”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that England and Chelsea legend John Terry is reportedly considering to join French League side Marseille this summer.
The 37-year-old is clubless since his one year deal with lower division side Aston Villa expired at the end of last season.
Terry was sighted at the Olympians pre-season training camp on Tuesday as the Ligue 1 club continues their preparations for the 2018-19 season.
