A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Bunmi Ojo, in Ekiti state has been killed.
NAIJ.com gathered that Ojo, who was the former special assistant to ex-governor Segun Oni was shot dead on Friday night, August 10, by unidentified gunmen.
He was reported to have been killed around a football viewing centre in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

NAN reports that the death of Ojo has attracted comments in the social media with one Adebayo Adebolu tweeting: “The way politicians and their urchins snuff life out of souls in Ekiti is way too bad. These killings must stop. Ekiti lost a vibrant comrade.’’

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that a governorship aspirant in Ekiti and a member of the seventh House of Representatives, Opeyemi Bamidele, and one other person were shot.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) said the Ekiti state governorship candidate, Kayode Fayemi, narrowly escaped being killed by an unknown gunman as he was being received by party men at the APC secretariat.
According to Channels TV, the incident which was described as an accidental discharge, occurred on Friday, June 1, during the takeoff campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) governorship candidate, Kayode Fayemi.
