The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Port Harcourt have arrested a fake general in the Nigerian Army, posing as Brigadier General Dawuk Danfulani of the 6 division garrison.
The division of the Nigeria Army is located in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers state.

A statement obtained by NAIJ.com shows that the suspect, Adesola Bucknor, allegedly ‘appointed’ the vice chancellor of the Rivers state university, Professor Blessing Diba, as the chief command patron of the Nigerian Army chaplain service.

He also signed the appointment letter in the name of Brigadier General Dawuk Danfulani.
It was learnt that in the letter, he solicited for financial support for the entertainment of guests invited to the installation of Dibia and a thanksgiving ceremony after his installation.
“To lend credibility to the appointment letter, Bucknor allegedly forged the logo of the Nigerian Army chaplain services and signed the document accordingly.
“Searches conducted in his residence in Port Harcourt, yielded several incriminating documents establishing the offence.
“He has also admitted committing the crime,” the EFCC said adding that the suspect would soon be charged to court.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that a Twitter user, Tracy Sylvester, narrated how some Nigeria Army personnel stopped a white man aided by policeman from breaking traffic law.
On her Twitter handle, Sylvester, @tracysyl said the incident happened at Egbeda area of Lagos on Sunday, July 22.
