The immediate past commissioner for education in Katsina state, Halimatu Saadiya Idris, has died.
The development was made public on Twitter by youth activist, Abubakar Sadiq Dankanjiba.

NAIJ.com notes that Dankanjiba stated that Idris succumbed to injuries sustained after a robbery attack on the way from Kaduna to Abuja on Sunday night, July 22.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the attorney-general and commissioner of justice for Gombe state, Abdulhameed Ibrahim, had passed on at the age of 58.
The commissioner passed away at a hospital in India where he went for a medical follow up. His demise was confirmed by his personal assistant, Auwal Kala.
