Senate President Bukola Saraki received a hero's welcome when he arrived in Ilorin, Kwara state capital after his victory at the Supreme Court.
Saraki arrived in the state on Tuesday, July 17 before he rode in the open roof of a vehicle in a motorcade.

It will be recalled that the Supreme Court has upheld the appeal of Senate president Bukola Saraki and discharged him of the remaining three charges against him in the case of false declaration of assets, instituted by the CCT.

The court upheld the appeal in a lead judgment delivered by Justice Centus Nweze on Friday, July 6 in Abuja.
The apex court ruled that there is insufficient proof to necessitate the trial before the CCT to proceed.
NAIJ.com also reported that Senate president Bukola Saraki reacted to the Supreme Court judgement clearing him of all Code of Conduct Tribunal charges, saying he is happy he has been vindicated.
Saraki in a statement on Friday, July 6, claimed his corruption trial was politically motivated and that three years was wasted prosecuting him.
He insisted that he is not against the fight against corruption but that it should not be selective.
