Chelsea’s Italian boss was missing from the rest of Blues’ squad on Sunday as the Premier League resumed pre-season training at their Cobham training complex, reports suggest.
According to a UK Sun report, Blues’ stars that include Cesc Fabregas and Ross Barkley were sighted going through their paces but were left wondering who will be at the helms of affair at the West London side during the new campaign.
Conte is still under contract at the Stamford Bridge outfit but is expected to leave the Premier Leave side as soon as Maurizio Sarri is finally named.

The Blues’ eggheads have been in talks with the former Napoli boss after holding numerous meetings.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding, the manager’s position, squad members appeared in top spirit as they commenced preparations ahead of the new campaign.
The duo of David Luiz, Alvaro Morata and Pedro were also among squad members that resumed training after going through exercises as well as stretches.

Interestingly, former Arsenal midfielder Fabregas, looking smart after holidaying at Mykonos, took to his official Instagram account to reveal images in the physio room with the trio of Luiz, Emerson Palmieri and Davide Zappacosta.

The Blues’ tackle Australia’s Perth Glory on July 23 in their first pre-season game.
And the club’s eggheads are looking forward to sort out the appointment of Sarri as soon as possible to enhance Chelsea’s preparation ahead of the new campaign.

Chelsea are also expected to play likes of Inter Milan, Arsenal, Man City and Lyon in the International Champions Cup after playing in Australia.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Chelsea are ready to name Maurizio Sarri as new manager after agreeing a £9.5m deal to cancel the contracts of Antonio Conte and his assistants, the reports suggest.
The 59-year-old Italian in tipped to take over from compatriot at the Stamford Bridge outfit after Conte could not deliver ticket to UEFA Champions League football, no thanks to the Blues’ fifth spot finish at the end of hostilities last campaign.
