The attorney general of the federation and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami, has been ordered by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, to arraign three TV presenters, Chamberlain Usoh, Gimba Umar and Anneota Egbe.
Vanguard reports that Abang asked that the reporters be arraigned for anchoring a programme where prejudicial comments were made with respect to ongoing trial of Olisa Metuh, former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
NAIJ.com gathers that Abang stated that asking questions on a case pending before his court was contemptuous.
The judge ordered that the trio should be arraigned alongside the former speaker of Anambra state House of Assembly, Ben Chuks Nwosu, who is a member of Metuh's legal team.

The order was made after a video clip of Channels TV programme, Sunrise Daily, of May 22, where Nwosu appeared as a guest, was viewed in the open court.
The general manager of Channels TV was also ordered to submit 10 copies of the transcript of the video recording and 10 copies of the DVD, showing questions that were asked by the trio and comments that were made by the lawyer, within seven days.
Justice Abang also directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to refer Nwosu to the disciplinary committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) within ten days after the materials must have been tendered.
He ordered that NBA should determine if his conduct was not in violation of rule 33 of the rules of professional conduct of legal practitioners, 2007.
The judge also ordered that both the transcript and the video recording should be forwarded to the AGF, adding that the EFCC should within 30 days file an affidavit to indicate compliance to all the orders.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that a Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, January 25, dismissed an application filed by Olisa Metuh, a former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for an adjournment of his case due to his alleged ill health.
However, Justice Okon Abang, the judge presiding over the case, noted that the medical report that came with Metuh's application was smuggled into the court and did not contain details on the nature or cause of his sickness.
