Premier League side, Arsenal have revived their interested in sealing a move for Argentina winger, Cristian Pavon despite previous £26.5 million offer rejected during the winter transfers in January, reports suggest.
The Emirates’ side wants the Argentine to replace of former forward, Alexis Sanchez who completed a switch to Manchester United last winter.

According to UK Mirror, citing sources at Spain’s news channel AS, Pavon’s Argentine club are in no hurry to offload their prized asset and are willing to hold on for the right suitors, with Pavon's appearance at the global stage; his price tag will be on the increase despite the Albiceleste falling out if the Round of 16.

The 22-year-old Pavon, who netted 17 times in 60 league appearances for Boca, has four more years left on present contract, he penned last year.

Interestingly, if the deal finally sees the light of the day, it will be Unai Emery's third addition to the Gunners’ squad with the duo of Stephen Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno deals already sealed.

On the other hand, Greece international Sokratis Papastathopoulos is reportedly closing in on a potential switch to the Premier League side from Bundesliga this news week.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Arsenal are close to signing Borussia Dortmund defender, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, after agreeing a fee of €20m (£17.6m) for the Greece defender.
The Greece international was identified as Unai Emery’s prime transfer targets after the Spaniard took over from Arsène Wenger.
Negotiations with Dortmund have continued for several weeks, with the 30-year-old now expected to complete his move to the Emirates.
