There was jubilation in Borno state on Wednesday, May 16, as Honourable Ahmed Usman Jaha, a House of Representatives member empowered over 5,000 youths with the new improved shoe shining kit, fully equipped with polish and brush.

Jaha, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has the intention of running for the forthcoming election in the state to retain his seat in the state's House of representatives.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported that the planting season for the Port Harcourt chapter of the Base Youths Empowerment Through Agriculture (BYETA) programme was flagged off by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
The BYETA programme, an initiative of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, is aimed at empowering youths economically in order to curb social vices and crime among youths residing on NAF base.
