News circulating on the internet confirms that there is certainly babymama drama brewing up for Nigerian singer, Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe popularly known as Wande Coal. According to the lady identified as Temitope Ogunnusi, she was separated from her son by the singer's family when the child was barely over a year old and haven't been able to see him for the past eight years.
Speaking with NewsmakersNG, Temitope narrated how she met and fell in love with a 23-year-old Wande Coal when she was just 16 in 2008. They were well known as a couple in the area and soon enough, their relationship became sexual.
However, everything went downhill after she got pregnant for him. According to Temitope, Wande Coal rejected the pregnancy. “Do you want to kill my career?” he allegedly asked Temitope. Wande Coal eventually moved out of the neighbourhood and thus, severing al connections with her.

Left to deal with the pregnancy and shame all alone, Temitope revealed that carried on with the nine months journey with support from her family and friends until she delivered.
The child whom she named Joseph, turned out to be a spitting image of Wande Coal and everyone could see that. News of the baby soon got to the singer's mother who arranged to see the baby. A DNA test was later carried out in 2010 which confirmed that Joseph was indeed Wande Coal's son.
Unfortunately for Temitope, what appeared to be a ray of hope of finally accepted into the family was destroyed when he baby was abducted by the singer's mom after cajoling Temitope to allow him to come and spend some time with her.
The mother alleged went on to block all means of communication with Temitope. She further instructed the gateman never to allow the lady in. According to her, the woman said: “My son cannot marry a low class woman.”
That was the last time she ever saw her child. She has tried to reach the woman using different numbers but only gets insulted and strict warning never to call her again.
Tope revealed that she had spent the last 8 years waking up with tears on her pillow and pain in her heart. “Please just let me see my son," she begged while being interviewed. “He’s the only one I’ve got.”
When asked to speak on Temitope’s case, a human rights lawyer, Kayode Oyemakinde, said: “Temitope, should not only be allowed to see her son from time to time; she should also be compensated in cash."
NewsmakersNG tried to reach Wande Coal through several channels, but he was incommunicado.
