Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi opened his goal account in the Chinese Super League as Tiajin Teda defeated Guangzhou R and F 2-1.
The former Chelsea man scrambled home the ball in the 27th minute after Ghanaian's Frank Acheampong's shot fell into his back to path.
Zhizhao Chen had earlier put the visitors ahead in the ninth minute but the Nigerian midfielder evened the scores 18 minutes later.

In the 29th minute Jiakang Hui scored what proved to be the winner as there were no more goals in the match as Tianjin claimed all three points
Mikel's goal was his first goal in six league games for Tianjin this new campaign as the Super Eagles star is putting himself in shape to lead Nigeria to the World Cup in the summer.

The 30-year-old was vital to Nigeria's sixth qualification to the Russia 2018 World Cup scoring two goals in the qualifiers against Algeria and Cameroon respectively.
Mikel was on target for Gernot Rohr's side in the match against Algeria at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo and scored another against Cameroon at the same venue.
Captain fantastic was absent in Nigeria's warm-up friendlies played last month against Poland and Serbia respectively.
Nigeria have been grouped alongside Argentina, Croatia and Iceland at the World Cup as Mikel will be anchoring the team for glory in June.
