Team Nigeria jumped up four places to rank eighth on the Commonwealth Games medals table after winning four gold medals on the ninth day of the events.
The west African country had a swell day on the ninth day of the games as two wrestlers, and two athletes claim gold medals.
Nigeria’s Odunayo Adekuoroye defeated India’s Pooja Dhanda 7-5 in the women’s 57kg wrestling freestyle category to claim gold medal from the events.

However, the victory makes Adekuoroye the first Nigerian female wrestler to win a gold medal consecutively at the Commonwealth Games.
Meanwhile, Blessing Oborodudu also won gold medal for Nigeria in the 68kg women's Freestyle events earlier on Friday, April 13, following her victory over Canada's Danielle Lappage 4-3.
The eight-time Africa champion came from three points down to claim a slim victory over the Canadian in the category of the event she participated in on day 9.

Toyin Amusan grabbed her first Commonwealth Games gold medal after finishing with a time of 12.68 seconds in the women’s 100m Hurdles events.
Her long wait for a global title was finally as she upstaged the 2015 World Champion Danielle Williams to clinch the medal.
Suwaibidu Galadima also won gold in the men’s events of the Para-Athletics at the Games having finished at time of 11.04s in the Men’s T47 100m final on Friday.
He was impressive all through the race until the last lap when he was he suffered a minor injury but still managed to secure the gold medal.
