- The road construction on Gombe-Yola road will be completed by June

- The construction is said to have provided employment for more than 618 skills and unskilled workers in the area
The federal government has said that the ongoing construction on the Gombe-Numan-Yola Highway will soon be completed.
Daily Trust reports that the project manager, Imran Khan, made the disclosure during a meeting with the director of federal highway, northeast at the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, Rufai Mohammed.
Khan said Gombe-Kaltungo the over 45 kilometres out of the 68 kilometres from the Gombe-Kaltungo axis of the road has been completed. He added that the remaining 13 kilometres is expected to be completed before the raining season in June.

In his response Mohammed said aside reducing travelling distance, the road project has provided employment to over 618 skills and unskilled workers.
He also visited the site for the Federal Housing scheme, where 76 assorted houses were being built.
The project which began in March 2017 is said to have reached an advanced stage of completion with the four houses already completed.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that the federal government had said it is investing N771 million into building 80 houses in Plateau state.
The buildings under the Federal Housing Programme (FHP) is located at Laminga village in Jos, Plateau state.
An offciial if the federal ministry of power, works and housing also commended the Plateau state government for donating the 5.04 hectares of land for the project.
