  • One teaspoon of locust beans;
  • One Bouillon Cube;
  • Salt to taste;
  • One cup of water.

  1. Wash and rinse the plucked Ewedu leaves in clean water. When they are clear – you may toss them aside;
  2. Take a small pot. Add one cup of water to it. After that, you will need to add the potash and bouillon cup in it. When everything is done – heat the mixture up. When the water starts boiling – add the Ewedu leaves. Turn off the oven and use a broom to mash the Ewedu leaves.
  3. If you don`t want to mash it with your own hands, then you may wait a while and pour the mixture into the blender. You will need to blend it or mash it until you get a paste.
  4. Pour the paste with Ewedu to the pot and heat it up for five more minutes. You can add other ingredients to this stew to make it better. For instance, you may add the salt, locust beans, and crayfish.
  5. Five minutes later your soup will be fully prepared! You can accompany this soup with Amala or Gbegiri.
