Nigeria's House of Representatives on Thursday, February 8, summoned the Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami, Vanguard reports.
NAIJ.com gathered that the lower chamber summoned the AGF to explain manipulation of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) case involving the Senate president, Bukola Saraki.
The House via a motion entitled:”Need To Ensure Sanity In The Legal Administration of Justice System in The Fight Against Corruption in Nigeria By the AGF’ promoted by the minority whip, Yakubu Barde, PDP, Kaduna, was overwhelmingly carried by the lawmakers.
Barde who led the debate observed that the AGF is instrumental to this unwholesome saga playing out in our administration of justice system.

In a previous report by NAIJ.com, Senate president, Bukola Saraki, standing trial on allegations of false asset declaration at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT on Tuesday, February 6, closed its defence after calling on its first witness, Dr Ademola Adebo.
Although, Saraki, through his counsel, Paul Usoro (SAN) at the commencement of proceedings on Monday, February 5, told the tribunal that he has lined up four witnesses to testify in his favour.
He however, made a u-turn when the legal team decided to limit themselves to the first witness.
