Meet the youngest Chartered Global Management Accountant in Ghana

A 21-year-old Ghanaian graduate, Solomon Kekeli Semavor, has emerged as the youngest Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) holder in Ghana.

Solomon is also the 11th youngest CIMA holder in Africa, an impressive feat as the Chartered Global Management Accountant programme is rumored to be one of the toughest accountancy courses globally.

Solomon who hails from the Volta Region of Ghana in an interview disclosed that his early life saw him sail through the Cambridge A-Level with 3 A's in Economics, Accounting and Business Studies at Alpha Beta Christian College in Dansoman, Accra.

He then began his CIMA course while in lower 6, and cleared all five Certificate level papers to attain a certificate in Business Accounting even before entering the University.

He then proceeded to Kings University College in Weija-Accra, where he combined his CIMA studies with his first degree in Business Administration.

Solomon said it didn’t come at easily, since he had to combine his role as the President of the Student's Representative Council along with his studies.

“It wasn't a walk in the park but firm belief and dedication to God made me see success in all my journey. My father has been my greatest source of inspiration as he is also a chartered accountant and a fellow of CIMA,” he said.

Currently, Solomon Kekeli Semavor holds an undergraduate degree from Kings University College and he is also into part-time Christian ministry with the core intention of bringing a revival to the nations of Africa and the world at large.

He also doubles as the President of Kingdom of God Foundation which has successfully built an orphanage.
