The Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano, has appealed to the indigenes of his state and Nigerians in general, to keep appreciating the efforts of security personnel as they carry out their duties of providing security and sustaining the nation’s peace and unity.
The governor made his remarks during a Channels TV interview in Awka on Monday, January 15, as the nation marks the 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration.

NAIJ.com gathers that he thanked the security agencies for all their sacrifices to ensure that peace is maintained in his state.
Obiano also urged citizens to adopt talking on a roundtable in every serious issue.
While giving the appeal, he stated: “Talking is cheap but war is expensive.”
He also recalled that the synergy between the military and paramilitary officers was what led to a successful governorship and senatorial elections.
He stated: “I thank the service commanders that are here. They made the two elections both the one of November 18 that re-elected me for a second term and one of yesterday successful. They worked very hard to make sure it went well.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to participate at the Wreath Laying Ceremony to mark the grand finale of the 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations on Monday, January 15.
The ceremony would take place at the National Arcade, Eagles Square, Abuja, the nations’ capital.
