We kill victims and drink their blood - Kidnap kingpin makes chilling confession to Police

- A notorious 16-man robbery and kidnapping gang has been apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force

- The groups’ leader disclosed how they murdered victims who could not cough up ransom money, and drank their blood

- The Force spokesman stated that the suspects will be arraigned in court after the completion of the investigation

The Nigeria Police has arrested 16 ‘vicious’ kidnapping and armed robbery gang members terrorising Nigerians along the Abuja-Kaduna road.

The Force spokesman, CSP Jimoh Moshood, who disclosed this while addressing newsmen on Tuesday, January 2 added that they were arrested in Sabon Wuse in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger state.

NAIJ.com gathers that he named the suspects to include Ibrahim Umar the gang leader, Isiaka Mohammed and Hassan Usman, Mubarak Adamu, Yisuf Sani, Musa Usman, Yakabu Wakili, Abdullahi Abdulkarim among others.

Moshood said that items recovered from the suspects are: 5 AK 47 rifles, nine AK 47 magazines, two cutlasses, one cell phone and 1,598 rounds of ammunition.

He said that the arrest followed coordinated operations by the Special Tactical Squad operating in the area.

The spokesman said that the gang leader, Umar, confessed to having killed 10 persons during their operations.

He said further that Umar also confessed that they killed those who cannot pay ransom and drink their blood.

Moshood who said that the suspects were arrested during the yuletide, said it was a huge success for the Nigeria police and Nigerians in general.

He said that the suspects have all confessed to the various roles they played in the commission of the crime.

“The suspects will be arraigned in court after the completion of the investigation,” he said.

He said that the force has evolved a new security arrangement to fight and prevent crimes in the country in the new year.

In a related development, NAIJ.com previously reported that the Nigeria Police Force said it had arrested 32 suspects responsible for kidnapping along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

The force public relations officer, CSP Jimoh Moshood, said that items recovered from the suspects include: 4 AK47 rifles, 6 locally made pump action gun and 2 magazines.
