In his words: “Daniel, you are a real party man, please keep the flag flying. You know where the mistake of PDP is and you can provide solutions.
“I support you on this quest and I am sure you will get it. You have my vote, you have my vote. I will give you my vote.”
The ex-governor had also received the support and blessing of the chairman, South East Council of Traditional Rulers, Cletus Ilomuanya, who described him as a true son of the soil, and prayed for his success.
Ilomuanya stated: “Otunba Daniel is a true son of the soil and a chief in this palace. We have no choice but to support him.
“I have known him for several years and I can assure you that he is more than qualified to provide the leadership the PDP needs now.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that The Pathfinders, a pressure group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said that the party would die sooner than expected if the ex-Ogun state governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD), is made its national chairman.
The group spoke in reaction to Daniel’s declared intention to vie for the position, and stated that it was amazed at the development, and wondered if the PDP was cursed.
